HERON ON THE HEATH

Oil and Acrylic paint on antique German bread board (circa 1890 - 1920s)

Size: 44 x 74cm

This artwork draws inspiration from my nostalgic recollections of blissful, sunlit strolls through Hampstead Heath during my childhood, oblivious to the transient nature of everything. Here, I depict a ghostly heron gracefully traversing Hampstead Heath, evoking a sense of a bygone era. It serves as a cherished memory, or perhaps a forewarning of a future when soaring temperatures make existence arduous, emphasising the importance of climate awareness.
